Rental Terms and Conditions
Driving License
Any valid driving license printed in Latin or Cyrillic alphabet is accepted for driving in Georgia, for up to one year after the renter’s arrival.

Age Restrictions
Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 2 years of driving experience to be covered by the insurance included in the rental.

Insurance Coverage

Full insurance (100%) is included in the rental price.

Covers all accidents, whether caused by the renter or another party.

Includes damage from fire, theft, or third-party actions.

Insurance becomes void if:

The renter fails to follow required procedures: call the patrol police immediately (number 112) and inform GMG Rent.

The vehicle is driven by an unauthorized person.

The driver does not hold a valid license at the time of the incident.

The driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Additional Insurance Information

GMG Rent does not operate with a franchise (deductible).

If the renter is at fault in an accident, the police may issue a fine of 250 GEL, which is the responsibility of the renter. The damage itself is fully covered by insurance.

If the damage is less than 250 GEL, the renter may pay the company directly without involving police or insurance.

Tire damage due to driving is not considered accidental by any Georgian insurance company — a fee of €50 per tire applies.

Lost item charges:

Car Key – €100

Passport – €100

Wi-Fi Adapter – €100

GPS – €100

Baby Seat – €200

Insurance does not cover damage to the car’s interior (e.g. seats, upholstery, dashboard) or damage caused during off-road driving.

Personal injuries or property damage to passengers or driver are not covered and must be claimed through the renter’s travel insurance upon entering Georgia.

One-Way Rentals

Free pick-up and drop-off anywhere in Kutaisi (including Kutaisi Airport), 24/7.

One-way drop-off in Tbilisi or Batumi is available for an additional €80.

Responsibility of Parties

Upon pick-up, the lessor and renter must inspect the vehicle together. All damage must be documented in the acceptance form or by photo.

The renter must return the vehicle on the agreed date and location, in the same condition as received (excluding normal wear). If returned elsewhere, the renter remains responsible for the vehicle until the lessor inspects it.

The renter is responsible for checking and maintaining fluid levels, locking the car when not in use, and returning the car with the same fuel level. Otherwise, refueling fees apply.

All accessories provided with the vehicle are part of the rental agreement and must be returned in good condition.

Traffic Fines and Violations

The renter is responsible for all traffic or parking fines incurred during the rental period.

For video fines, the renter must follow GMG Rent’s instructions and settle the fine.

Any fines issued in person are registered under the renter’s name and must be paid before leaving Georgia, in accordance with local law.
